My fellow Nevadans, 

I am honored to invite you to join me in a monumental celebration of the 250th Anniversary of our great nation. As a partner of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission — the America250 Foundation — we have the distinct privilege of celebrating our country’s 250 years of achievement, struggle, and sacrifice while framing the dialogue and vision for the next 250.

Along with partners within cultural, civic, and educational institutions, we encourage every Nevadan to remember our past, celebrate our achievements, and dedicate ourselves to a promising future. We have much work to accomplish, and I am asking you to join us.  

Throughout my life and career, civic duty has been a central theme. I see this national occasion as an opportunity to engage Nevadans to celebrate all the things that unite us as a country. Through Nevada culture and history, we can build community together. It is The Nevada Way.

Plans for this celebration include official projects, events, and programs designed to instill pride and inspiration. This website offers details on the different ways you can participate in Amerca250 Nevada. I am honored to be part of this celebration, and I am inspired by the opportunity for all communities throughout Nevada to connect through our shared experiences, patriotism and love of this land.
